discovering new gaming platforms together
Lately I’ve been thinking about how many different gaming platforms are out there and how little I actually know about them. It feels like every week something new appears, with different mechanics, styles, and communities. I usually stick to what I already know, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m missing out on something more interesting. Do you ever try completely new platforms just out of curiosity, or do you prefer staying with familiar ones? I’m curious how others approach this.

I used to stay in my comfort zone too, but recently I started exploring different gaming platforms, and honestly, it’s been surprisingly fun. What I liked most wasn’t even the gameplay itself, but the process of discovering how each platform works, how communities interact, and what makes each experience unique. Some feel very social, others more focused on strategy or creativity. It gave me a fresh perspective and made gaming feel less repetitive. I’d definitely recommend taking some time to explore new platforms
even casually, because you never know what might catch your interest and change how you see things.
